Leo-Lion Program
Leos have been serving communities for over 60 years and gaining valuable leadership experience in the process. The Leo-Lion membership program offers Leos an opportunity to continue their service journey as Lions members.

Leo to Lion frequently asked questions
- I’m going to age out of the Leo Club Program. What should be my first step to continue my service journey?
-
The first step should include reviewing your record with your Leo club secretary and Leo club advisor. Be sure that you are reported and that your personal information is correct, along with your leadership records. This includes confirming that:
- Your first and last/family name is correct
- Your birthdate is correct
- Your shipping address is current
- Your Leo start date is correct to ensure you receive credit for your years of service
- Your leadership roles have been accurately recorded
- My records are accurate, so I’m ready to take the next step as a Lion! Now what?
-
Now is a great time to explore what kind of club you’d like to join. Lions International has a variety of membership options for Leos taking their next step, but we recommend reading up on the benefits of joining the Leo-Lion Program first.
- My Leo club advisor mentioned end-dating. What is that?
-
End-dating is an automated process by Lions International that closes Leo records (of Alphas and Omegas who have reached the maximum age) that have not yet been closed by their clubs on or before June 30 of each Lion year. This means that if you are not transferred to a Lions club before the end of the Lion year, your Leo record will be automatically closed by Lions international.
If you are reaching the end of your service eligibility as a Leo, reach out to your Leo club advisor and sponsoring Lions club secretary for help in taking the next steps in your service journey.
